These resources are available to all nonprofit organizations. Our hope is that this list will aid our sister churches or other nonprofit organizations to better prepare and for the work that God has commissioned for us to do. 

We thank each of these companies who make these resources available and allow for our communities to be best be served free of charge.

Microsoft Office 365 for Nonprofits (Free)

To apply for the full suite of Office 365 for nonprofits follow the steps below. This is the full suite, not limited or watered down version.

  1. Apply for Office 365 here:
    1. https://nonprofit.microsoft.com/en-us/getting-started
  2. Click on Apply and follow the onscreen application.
    1. This will ask you for all your legal information around your church nonprofit status.
    2. Be ready to supply your tax exemption information including your EIN.
      1. You may also be asked to provide a scanned copy of your tax exempt certificate(s).
    3. This link is for the Admin Portal once you’ve been approved. It is often difficult to find so we are listing it here.
      1. https://portal.office.com/Adminportal#/homepage
        1. This link allows you to access the licenses you have available to you and manage them.
      2. Get access to all Microsoft applications including Teams.

 

Google Workspace for Nonprofits (Free)

To apply for the full suite of Google Workspace follow the steps below. This is a great resource and for multiple purposes:

  1. Connect your domain so that you can have email addresses with your domain name…i.e. test@churchspace.org
  2. Add 2,000 users (if needed)
  3. 100TB of Google Drive space to store and and share documents among staff.
  4. Access to Google Meet for meetings and video chat.
  5. Much more…
  6. Apply for Google Workspace here:

    2. Make sure you don’t log in with an already existing account.
    3. Create a new account.
    4. Follow the application process.
    5. This will ask you for all your legal information around your church nonprofit status.
    6. Be ready to supply your tax exemption information including your EIN.
      1. You may also be asked to provide a scanned copy of your tax exempt certificate(s).

 

Canva Pro for Nonprofits (Free)

To apply for the full Pro version of Canva for Nonprofits follow the steps below. This is a great for creating all types of designs. You get around 15 user licenses.

Spotify for Podcasters (Free)

Great way to get your church service online and setup as a podcast. Also allows you to connect to other platforms as well.

Planning Center (Free)

This is a great church management tool that is absolutely free to use. Track your membership, attendance, setup visitor rules and automation, a much more. There are limits to what you can use for free, however, most small churches shouldn’t need to pay for much if anything. The nice thing about this one is that you only pay for what you use.

  2. Again, this is a great free resource if all you need are a few tools.
    1. The church management portion of this is 100% free.
    2. Many of the other options are free if only needed for a few users or in small applications.
    3. If you do decide to pay for some of the paid features, it’s based on your church size and need.

 

IFTTT (Free)

This is way to automate things you do and might save you time. You get three applets to use for free. One application that is nice is whatever you post to YouTube will automatically be posted to your Facebook or Instagram account.

Bit.ly (Free)

If you need to create a shortened version of a webpage link, this is a way to do it and it’s free.

Zoom (Free)

Get access to video conferencing for free, however, there is a time limit on this of 40 minutes per meeting.

Mailchimp (Free)

Send out up to 1,000 emails per month to your church members or other groups you’ve setup.
